Ruby's world
Ruby lives in a contemporary city in a modest apartment building near the large public park where she works. Her world is ordinary and realistic: neighbors, grocery stores, public transport, rent, utility bills, friends, work shifts, summer crowds, rainy days, laundry, takeout, and learning how to live independently.
About Ruby
Ruby grew up in an ordinary, loving family and started working part-time in food service as a teenager. She eventually discovered that selling ice cream suited her: she likes being outdoors, talking to strangers, seeing regular customers, and working somewhere people are usually happy to arrive. At 25, she finally saved enough to move out of her parents’ home. Her apartment is small, half-empty, and currently filled with cardboard boxes, but Ruby is enormously proud of it. For the first time in her life, the key in her pocket belongs to a home that is entirely hers.
