Account Setup and Onboarding

Create your ImagiPortal account, personalize your Arena, and complete the first-time onboarding tour.

Updated July 30, 2026

Your ImagiPortal account keeps your chats, characters, media, memories, subscription, and PORTI balance connected to you.

Create an account

  1. Open ImagiPortal and choose Launch App or Create Your Companion.
  2. Choose Sign up if you are new to ImagiPortal.
  3. Follow the sign-up instructions on the screen.
  4. After signing in, continue to the onboarding tour.

If you already have an account, choose Sign in instead. Use the same sign-in method each time so you return to the correct account.

Complete the onboarding tour

The onboarding tour introduces the platform and helps personalize your first Arena experience.

Step 1: Welcome

Watch the short introduction to see how people use AI companions and create AI characters on ImagiPortal.

Step 2: Personalize your Arena

Choose the world that interests you most:

  • All Worlds
  • Real World
  • Spicy World
  • Fantasy World
  • Sci-Fi World
  • Assistant World

Choosing a world is required if you complete the tour. It helps ImagiPortal decide which public companions to show first.

You can also choose interest tags. Tags are optional and help make your recommendations more specific.

Step 3: Tell us about yourself

You can add three details about yourself:

  • Gender — choose Male, Female, or Non-binary.
  • Age — choose an age from 18 to 80, or leave it unset.
  • Appearance — write a short description of how you look. You might include details such as your build, hair, eyes, or clothing style.

These details help AI companions understand who they are speaking with. They become part of your user context and can be used during text chats, roleplay, voice conversations, and live calls.

For example:

  • Gender can help a companion use the right words and pronouns when addressing you.
  • Age can give the companion useful context about how to speak with you.
  • Appearance can help the companion recognize and describe you correctly during roleplay and scene descriptions.

This information is connected to your user profile, so you do not need to introduce yourself again every time you meet a companion. It works together with conversation context and Global Memory to make interactions feel more consistent.

All three details are optional. They stay private and are used to personalize your experience. You can update them later in Settings.

Only share information you are comfortable using in chats and calls. Never add passwords, payment information, or other sensitive details.

Step 4: Safety and privacy

Review the basic rules before entering the app:

  • ImagiPortal is for users aged 18 and over.
  • AI companions are artificial intelligence, not people.
  • Keep interactions and public content respectful.
  • Protect your private information.

Step 5: Enter the Arena

Choose Enter Arena to open the main app. Your onboarding trial is ready, but its timer does not start until you first use an eligible premium feature.

You can skip the introduction, but completing it gives you better Arena recommendations. You can change your preferences later.

What the onboarding trial includes

The standard onboarding trial lasts three days and lets you explore premium tools such as companion creation, voice features, images, and live calls.

If you join through an eligible referral link, the referral welcome package replaces the standard package. Read Invite Friends and Earn Plus Days to understand the referral trial and starter PORTI.

After the trial, some actions require a subscription or PORTI. You will see the requirement before completing a paid action. Read Plans and Subscriptions for more information.

If you cannot enter the app

Try these simple steps:

  1. Refresh the page.
  2. Confirm that you are signed in.
  3. Return to the landing page and choose Launch App again.
  4. Sign out and sign back in with the same account.
  5. Check your internet connection.

If the problem continues, note what happened and which page you were opening before asking for support.
