Photos, Voice, Camera, and Generated Media
Learn when ImagiPortal uses uploaded media and device permissions, and how to control microphone and camera access.
Updated July 25, 2026
Media features process the content you provide so ImagiPortal can create the requested result. This can include photos, reference images, voice recordings, microphone audio, optional camera video, prompts, and generated files.
Only upload media that you created or have the right and permission to use.
Uploaded photos and reference images
Selfies, Try-On, avatars, and other image workflows can ask you to take or upload a photo. The selected image is sent for the generation or editing task you requested.
Before uploading:
- Check that the photo does not contain private documents or information in the background
- Do not upload another person's image without their permission
- Use a photo that is suitable for the requested feature
- Review the generated result before sharing it
The formal Privacy Policy explains how submitted media and related processing data are handled and retained.
Voice messages
Voice messages require microphone permission. ImagiPortal records the message while you hold the recording control and sends it when you release the control.
Close or cancel the recording if you do not want to send it. Your browser or device can continue to show its own microphone indicator while access is active.
Live voice and video calls
Both call modes use your microphone. A video call displays the companion's talking avatar, but sharing your own camera is optional.
Your camera is off when the call begins. If you turn it on, the call interface shows a preview of what you are sharing. Turn it off whenever you no longer want to share camera video.
Use End call before closing the page so the live session and device connections close correctly.
Manage device permissions
You can mute the microphone or turn off the camera from the call controls. You can also remove permission completely from your browser or device settings.
Permission changes made in your browser or device can prevent the feature from working until you allow access again. Only grant microphone or camera access on a device you trust.
Generated media and galleries
Generated images and videos can be stored with the relevant character or chat and appear in its galleries. Some media surfaces provide a delete control.
Deleting an item removes it from the active product workflow according to that feature's behavior. Backup, security, transaction, or legally required records can follow separate retention rules described in the Privacy Policy.
Read Media for instructions on each generation and call workflow.
